Series Wednesday: Timetopia page 16

We walk out past the stream with the darkness all around us. “I’m not sure about this.” Rev tells me. “We don’t know what’s out there…or what kind of animals. We should wait until it’s lighter out so we can at least see what we are up against.” Rev has fear in her voice. “Did you ever go camping as a child?” She laughs. “No I grew up in the Bronx, it isn’t like that, its cement jungle, so no forest to camp in. Not that I would go anyways.” I laugh at her. Rev the fearless, doesn’t like the woods. “It’s like my mom always told me, the monsters under your bed are only as big as you let them be.” I smile at her and keep walking. “Oh now you want to be the brave one.. I see you.” I look at her and laugh. “Of course you can see me, I’m right in front of you.”  She sighs at me and rolls her eyes.
We head far past the stream, deep into the forest. The sun is coming up above the trees. I have always loved the sunrise. I stop to watch the sun come up as the reds and blues mix in the sky.  Rev pulls my arm. “There is a cabin over there.” She points to the right and starts heading that way. I run to catch up to her. We walk up to the cabin with me in front of Rev.  I can’t wait to just lay down after walking all night, I am so sleepy. A man comes out of nowhere and he has a long metal branch in his hand. “Stop right where you are. Turn around and go back the way you came.” I turn to look back and Rev isn’t behind me anymore. “I’m sorry sir I can’t go back.” He looks at me for a second and steps toward me. He still has the metal branch in his hand. “I’m sorry if you can’t got back. But you can’t stay here. You have stopped moving for too long already.” He says as he looks around in fear. I think he is worried about the tracker that I don’t have. I see Rev walking up behind him. “If you’re worried about someone following us here, don’t. We don’t have trackers.” He looks at me and I turn and lift up my hair for him to see that I don’t have a barcode. “Wait that’s not possible. Did you say we?” As I turn back around, Rev grabs the metal branch and smacks him in the face with it. He falls to the ground, she puts her boot on his throat and points the metal branch at his head. “Yes, she said we.”
Rev makes a weird sound with the metal branch. The mans’ eyes widen. “You know how to use it.” He seems shocked. “Yes I know how to use a shot gun. So why don’t you tell me where you got it from.” Rev is stepping harder on his throat when he doesn’t say anything. “Rev stop!”  Rev doesn’t listen to me but eases up on his throat. “I made it. I make all the guns for Timetopia.” Rev takes her foot off of his throat.  He makes the guns? How is this man not erased? Rev looks at me. “What do you want to do now?” she asks me. I look at him, “Sir we mean you no harm. Ron sent us here when he seen I didn’t have a barcode. The people at the Switch festival started to drop and he got us out.” The man motions for Rev to move her boot so he can sit up. “Ron sent you… I forgot the switch happens tonight. By any chance do you know who is switching over?” I shake my head no. “So you need a place to stay?” He asks me, not even looking at Rev. “Yes just until they open the roads and we can leave.” He smiles. “If Ron risked his life to get you here, and getting you out of the Switch festival is him risking his life, you must be very special. So you can stay here.” Rev lowers the shot gun as she calls it. He gets up and we all walk to his house. His front door had no lock on it, but there was a black panel on the wall right next to the door. He puts his hand on the panel and the door opens. “Biometric lock.” Rev says to me.

We walk in and the cabin has so many rooms.  I have never seen so many rooms for one person,  maybe he has a family. “You can pick a room. You both look beat. I have some questions, but they can wait.” He points toward one of the hallways with 3 rooms down it. Rev walks down the hallway and I follow her. I walk into one of the rooms, Rev follows me in. “Do you remember what I showed you?” She hands me the gun. “Yes I remember but I don’t think I’ll need it.” She laughs. “You never know. I still have the shot gun, so I’m good. Just sleep with it next to you okay? Let me know when you’re awake.” She leaves my room. The bed in here is one of the biggest beds I have ever seen and the blanket so fluffy. I lay in the sheets and I feel so warm and safe. I wonder what questions he’s going to ask us tomorrow.

Lets Question the world around us

Hey everyone,
Do you ever feel like you see things a tad bit differently then others. I know i have always felt like that. I have always felt like the way my mind processes the world was very different then my peers. For me to understand what i am looking at I have to question it. I'm not sure what but this is always how my mind has worked. So I wrote a short story book doing just that. Three fictional stories that make you question what is really happening. I often think life is much like a labyrinth, we think we know what we are looking at but it often changes on us. If you feel the same. Be sure to pick up my book and tell me what you think. Tell me your answers or even your questions. Thank you all for reading. The Labyrinth of thought. Are you ready to question things?

Happy Holidays!: Timetopia page 15

I get ready for the festival then Rev and I head out to the town square. Rev watches as all the kids and pregnant women and voluntaries go into a library. “Why do the kids go that way?”  Rev asks as she points at the kids. “They are too young to enjoy the festival. The festival is all about letting go and having fun. It is our time to let loose without worry. The pregnant can’t drink so they watch over the kids.” I explain to Rev and she tilts her head. “So they protect the kids and pregnant women from the drunks.” I smile at her. “Yes pretty much.” She scrunches her nose. “Well that one I can agree with.” We both laugh. They scan our wristbands so we can get into the area. The bonfire is already lit up and people are eating and drinking already. “Is that deep fried ice cream?” I smile at Rev. “Yes it is!” We both run over there. “So let me get this straight they don’t let you eat these things all the time except for here?” I laugh, “Of course if we always had these things we would be fat. It’s super unhealthy to eat this kind of food.” The servers walk about with drinks on their trays.
“So what kind of drinks do we have here?” Rev asks as she grab one off the tray. I start to wander around to all the different food stands. I get a taco and some food that was once called southern comfort. I grab a cranberry and vodka and go to find somewhere to sit and eat. Rev walks up with fried ice-cream and a mug of beer in her hand.  We cheer our drinks and then eat and drink up. The music starts and people begin dancing around the fire. I get up to dance with them while Rev goes to grab more to drink. I think I am 3 drinks in. I feel so light and free, I am dancing around the fire. I love the way the flames’ warmth feels on my skin. I see Ron walking around with the tray of drinks, he looks so cute and I just want to talk to him. I walk up to grab another drink. I smile at Ron as I reach for a drink. “Don’t drink it Ava. Go to the bush and pretend to drop your drink but DO NOT drink this round. Do your hear me?” Ron whispers to me. I am lost why doesn’t he want me to have fun. “Ron why?” He looks around. “Please just trust me. You and your friend need to get out of here. I know you don’t have a barcode. If they figure it out… I can’t help you. Just don’t drink it and find your friend. I’ll find you in a bit to get you out of here.” Ron hurries away. I start to look for Rev as she runs right up to me. “Don’t drink that. There is a roofy in there.” She throws the drink down. “What is a roofy? Ron just told me not to drink anymore and that we need to get out of here.” She looks around. “Roofy is a drug that puts you to sleep. Where did Ron take off to? I had a bad feeling about this. Let’s just leave.” I shake my head. “We can’t. No one is allowed to leave until the switch is over. That is why our wristband is used to check us in. They tell the  wellness checkers if anyone is not accounted for. If someone’s missing, the wellness checkers will go looking for them.” Rev takes a deep breath. “Okay… Well we have to do something. Wait didn’t you say you didn’t make it the whole time last year?” I nod yes. My mom made me promise not to tell anyone about last year. It could’ve got all of us in a lot of trouble. “Well what happened exactly?” Rev asks me. She motions with her hand up for me to hurry with my story. I sigh, but my mom did send Rev to help me. “I had two drinks and I couldn’t even finish the second one I just started throwing up uncontrollably. So my mom convinced one of the Wellness checkers to sneak us out. Since our wristbands were scanned in, no one came looking for us.”  Rev looks around and I see her mouth drop, so I follow her eyes to see what she’s looking at.

I see people starting to drop. They are just hitting the floor, I don’t understand what’s happening. I step forward to go help one of them when Rev grabs me. “Don’t, they are okay I promise. The drug is just making them go to sleep.”  I see Ron running up to us. “You have to go now.” He grabs me by the hand with Rev right behind us. He puts scientist wristbands on us. We are able walk past the wellness checkers. I look back at the peoples bodies just hitting the floor. Rev says they are sleeping but some look dead. Ron take us back to the visiting center. “Pack your stuff fast.” He tells us as he looks around. We run to our room. Packing what little we have. “Why is he helping us?” Rev demanding an answer from me. “How am I supposed to know?” I throw on my back pack and run back outside. Rev pulls out the metal handle on him. “Why are you helping us?” He stops moving. “What is that and why are your pointing it at me?” I think Rev just remember to us the word gun as she calls it means nothing. “It’s a gun. Oh good grief. How come these wristbands got us out?” She puts the gun away. “The festival is where the scientists test on the people.” WHAT! The scientists test on us? “If you’re a scientist why do you work at the visiting center?” He stares at her. Anyone from Timetopia would already know that answer. “He has to. The scientists have to work at every job in the community to truly understand how important our system is. So as they come up with new things for our community they will know what the community needs.” I explain to her. “Look, we don’t have time for this. We got orders from the coming Five to not only give the normal virus and test the people who we gave them to last year, but to also take extra blood and test everyone’s DNA. With you both not having barcodes I feel like it wouldn’t be a good idea for them to have your DNA.” Rev smiles. “Thank you, but you’re right so we need to get out of the city.” Rev tells him. I am in shock they give virse at the festival. “You can’t leave until the roads open up in 2 days, but I have a friend outside of the city past the stream. He is just like you with no barcode.” Wait, there is someone else without a barcode? “How far past the stream?” Rev asked. “I’m not sure, I have never been to his house, but I have a barcode so he won’t let me go. I can be tracked, but if you tell him I sent you he will help you.” Rev looks at me, I nod yes. We start heading toward the forest. I see wellness checkers not too far behind us. “Just get to his house and you will be fine.” Ron walks toward the wellness checkers as we sneak away. I wonder if I will ever see him again.

Series Wednesday: Timetopia page 14

I am back at the room, still no sign of Rev.  I pace back and forth for what seems like hours.  What if I am in the wrong place? I need to know where that phrase came from. How did Charles know a phrase I have only ever heard from Rev? Can I trust her? Can I trust him? I hear a thud from behind me, I turn around and there is Rev on the floor. “Oh I hate that!” She gets up and run to the bathroom. I hear her throwing up. I sit here waiting for her. I am looking at the watch…Should I tell her about it? She walks out of the bathroom. “Which one of The Five pulled me out of time like that? How long was I gone for?” Rev is looking to me for answers. “How do you know you were pulled out of time?” She laughs as she drinks some water. “Which one was it Ava?” Why doesn’t anyone answer my questions? I am done with people not answering my questions. “Rev, how did you get to Timetopia?” she rolls her eyes at me. “It’s a long story but your mom brought me here.” I stop breathing. Everything seems to lead back to my mom. “Charles is the one who pulled you out of time.” She turns her head. “Which one is he?” I walk over to the table with the history book on it and open it to show her a picture of him. She looks at it and flips through the history book. “I need you to tell me about The Five. Everything you know.” She sits down at the table and points to the chair across from her. I sit down and take the history book back and open it. “There was once a great war. Five scientists lost everything in the war, so they built a time machine.” Before I could finish reading, Rev is waving her hand up in the air, “Stop stop stop. If I wanted to read the history book I would. I need to know the gossip and the things only someone who grew up here would know.”  I am not sure what gossip is. There is nothing I know that isn’t in the history books. I just sit there because I am not sure what she wants.
“Rev, I’m not sure what you want? Everything I know is from history books and videos at the library.” She sits there and tilts her head. “Who is the cutest of The Five?” I smile “Charles” she laughs, “And who is the one with the green thumb?”  Well that’s easy, “Erick.” She has a big smile like I am answering right. “That is the kind of thing that I need to know, the stuff that isn’t in the books.” Oh I get what she is saying I think. “Charles is the one girls hide pictures of. He is said to be the most charming. Kora is the mother of Timetopia out of The Five. It was said to be her idea to go back and change things. Erick is the fountain of Timetopia. He is the reason for the way our houses are structured and laid out.” Rev puts her hand out for me to stop talking. I hear steps outside of our door. Rev grabs her knife and starts moving toward the door. Someone starts knocking at the door.

Rev opens the door and there is Ron standing there. “Good evening. I have to do a head count before the Switch Festival tonight.” He smiles. Rev doesn’t know how this works. He is here to make sure everyone is accounted for. He needs to ask these questions for the festival. “Of course come on in.” I smile, trying to give a hint to Rev that this is normal. Rev lets him in and he smiles “Are both of you over 16?” Rev tilts her head. “Yes of course.” He laughs “I have to ask. Are either of you pregnant?” I look at Rev. She gives me a weird look. “Are you pregnant?” She asks me. “No! I’m not married.” Rev tilts her head at me. “So there is your answer. No one is pregnant.”  She smiles at him. “Do either of you have any heart conditions?” I shake my head, no. Rev’s face looks lost. Ron smiles and hands us the wristbands for the switch festival. “I can’t wait to see you out there.” He looks right at me as he says it. He gets up and walks out the door. “So I’m guessing not only do we have to go to this thing, you also now want to go.” Rev says as she sits down. “You don’t understand, the switch festival is the funnest day of the year. So yes, I really want to go.” I sit and think of last years festival with my mom. I didn’t even make it through the night.  Tears start coming out of my eyes. “What’s wrong?” Rev asks. “I went last year with my mom. That’s all. This year I don’t have my mom or dad to go with.” Rev get up and hugs me. “Well then we just have to make this one very memorable switch festival then, wont we.”  I smile at her with a huge smile. “Yes, we most definitely will.”

Random Short story: Siren lost on land

Land has always been a dream of mine. Growing up here in the sea isn't a treat like some might think. How ever my mom always said terrible things would happen if I left the sea. The land creators would fear me. I don't care, I am sick of this wet life. The sailors always seem to love when we sing to them. Some of them loved it so much they would jump in water with us. It  never ended well for them. That is beside the point. I have decide to live on land.
I swam as fast as i can to the edge where the water meets the land. I see the white sands. I stop and pull my self up to shore. Now according to legend I shouldn't have to do to much more. Just lay here until i dry out and leg will simply sprout out. I fell asleep on the nice warm sands. When I woke up there standing above me was a man. "Miss this is not that kind of beach. You need at least a bikini." i look down as my self and legs I have. I stand on them and look around every other person it covered unlike me. So I hum in his ear and whisper "Give me" as i pull on his shirt. He was so kind he took it right off. I slid it on and walked away. The people all seem to be in these covers some much fancy then the other. So i walked in to a store and looked at all the covers. A lady walked up to me and helped me put them on. But my humming did nothing to her. But not to far from her was a man who heard my song. He gave her a triangle of plastic and i got to keep it all. Life on land is easy. Night is falling i must find some where to live. I until I see a place with water all about the building, this is it this is my new home. I walk in side pleasantly. There is man who gives me the keys. I hum to the nice men who bring me thing they said i need. They brought me what feels the a cloud then call it a bed.
Life is good here on land everyone is friendly. I have been watching T.V. here at  home, I realize need to work to fit in. That's is how thing work on land. So I go out to find a job. I wonder around the land when i could to a place where people sit to eat. Here is where i want to work. Everyone looks so happy in here. So i go up to the front and hum to the man in charge and I have a job. i'm not sure why mom said I wouldn't love it here its amazing.
5 years later
I can't believe i ever lived in the sea. It all seems so far from me now. I moved from the big city to a small town with him! He is the love of my life and never once have i sang to him. I couldn't be happier or further from the sea. "I love you!" He whispers to me as i wake from my sleep. I cant help but feel completely happy. "You look as beautiful as the day i met you." I smile at him. "You are as dreamy as the day i met you." Life is good. I feel sick again this morning. For the past few weeks food has been my enemy. "You need to go to the doctor." He says. But i'm not sure how that even works. I have never felt sick in the sea. "No i am sure it will  pass." I walk to the kitchen and before I know it i am on the floor. He rushes me to the hospital. "Well there isn't anything wrong with you. Your just pregnant."  The doctor smiles. Oh no! A baby, will my baby be able to breath out of the sea?
"Are you sure your up for this trip to the beach?" he says as he put our bags into the car. "Yes i am sure." The past two months have been so hard. I am so sick, i have to lave in salt water to feel better. If only he knew. He thinks i am 22 and maybe I am. But not in land time by they way humans consider time i am 268 which is nothing where i am from. but will my baby age like me or like him? So many questions. i need to ask my mom. i hum to put him to sleep when we get to our room next to the beach.  i walk into the water. I see her already waiting for me. "How did you know?" i ask her. "You are my daughter. Soon to have one of your own. She has to be born at sea or she will die." i cant believe what she is saying but i know she isn't lying. "What about her father?"  I know what she is about to tell me. but i had to ask. "By the time her lungs will be strong enough for land he will be old or he will be dead." i turn away and swim as fast as i can to land. I pull myself on to the shore and let out a scream one only my kind can hear. I feel the saddest i have ever felt in my life. I hear humming and i look up to see her singing. "Why are you letting out that kind of scream?" She stops singing. I grab her and put her hand on my tummy. She smiles. "She will die if i stay here on land." she nods her head no. "Thats what the creator of the sea think. She will not die. But if you have her on land she will never know the sea. She will live by land time and day the same way." she tells me as she helps me up. "How do you know?" She opens her locket. "She has been gone for 20 years now. She live and died her whole life before I even aged a year in what think is time." This mean if i have her here on land she will die much before me. "why stay here on land?" she smiles and points back. "for my great grandchildren. But i will tell you think if i could do it all again i would of took her to the sea. A mother should never watch her child die." She hugs me and walks away. What am I to do? Let her have her father? Or a longer life? I must do what is best for her. I walk up shore to see him. I lay down next to him.  I hum him to sleep for in the morning he wont remember me.

Series Wednesday: Timetopia Page 13

I bow down. “Hello.”  He circles around me, “Up.” He says, I look up to see his smile even more charming then the monument. I can’t believe I am getting to meet Charles, one of The Five! He is like every teen girls crush being the youngest man of The Five. He smiles at me. “Ava, why are you running?” He knows my name. “I lost my friend.” He opens his hand, where he is holding some type of orb. The orb lights up and a picture of Rev shines out. “Is this your friend?” I nod yes. “Do you know how she got to Timetopia?” I think about it for a bit. She never said how she got here, but Rev isn’t much of a sharer. I shake my head, no. “How long have you known Rev?”  I think about it. “A few weeks.” Now, he is nodding. “What has she told you about herself?” I was taught if one of The Five was to ever talk to me, I had to tell them anything and everything they asked. Most people have never even seen one of The Five in person, but Rev wouldn’t want me to tell her story… or the little bit I know. Maybe he can answer some questions for me. “She hasn’t really told me anything… We have just been running. Do you know what a gun is?” His face changed instantly. “Did she tell you what a gun was?” I know the gun is in Rev’s bag, maybe I should just show it to him. But he didn’t answer me, just asked me a question instead. “A manager used the metal handle. I’m sorry, I mean a gun, to hurt my mom at the Questions hall.” He looks shocked. “Wait, you’re saying there are guns here in Timetopia?” I nod yes.  He seems very upset by this news. “Ava, how do you know it was a gun? What does it look like?” Does he not believe me? Did Rev lie to me? I’m not sure what to say. “Rev told me it was a gun. It was metal, it made a loud pop noise. When it did, people started bleeding. My mom being one of them.” He stands very still now. “Ava, this manager… what happened to him?” Everything happened so fast I don’t remember. “I am not sure, I didn’t see. I was too worried about my mom. Do you know what happened to her?” We aren’t supposed to ask The Five questions. He hasn’t said anything about it, but I think he is going to now. Just the look on his face. “I wish I knew what happened to your mom. It seems like some of the managers have gone a little rogue. But I promise you, I’ll look into it.” He strokes his hand across my cheek.

I take a step back from him. He looks at me “Your eyes, they are so familiar. He pulls the orb out again. He has all my school pictures on it and pictures of my parents. I can’t help but smile when I see their pictures. “Can I see that?” I stick my hand out.  He looks down at the orb for a second and then laughs. “It won’t work for you. Its Five technology. This is my own and only works for me.”  He seems so proud of  this fact. “How is it that there are no baby pictures of you Ava? And no child care tracker in your neck?” I am not sure what to say. I don’t know the answer. “I didn’t know there wasn’t any pictures of me as a baby. There are at my house.” He laughs. “No, those are pictures of you as a toddler. The earliest one of you is when you seem to be 2 or 3.” I shrug, not sure of the answer. “Where are you off to?” I am not sure why he is asking me this. “I am off to my grandma’s house.” He had such a serious face and now he is smiling again. “Did Rev tell you that’s where she is taking you?” I nod yes. “I am going to have to go now, but here. Take this.” He hands me a watch. “It’s pretty, thank you.” I’m not sure what I have done to get a present. “It’s not just a watch. If you press the center, it will tell me where you are. Since I can’t track you, I have no way to come to your side if you need help.  I don’t think Rev is helping you get to your grandma’s. So when you get to where it is that she is taking you, just press the button and I will come to your aid.”  Rev would never hurt me.  Why does he think that? “Rev wouldn’t do anything to hurt me. I think you have the wrong impression of her.” He laughs. “There is a saying where I am originally from. You can’t trust anyone. Not even you’re pets, because if you stop feeding them they will eventually eat you.” WHAT DID HE JUST SAY?! Isn’t that what Rev says? Where is she? I have so many questions for her. “Do you know where I can find Rev?”  He laughs. “Right. I had to pull her out of time so I could talk to you. I threw her ahead a few hours. By the time you make it back to your room, she should be appearing.” He turns to walk away. He must be The Five who is going to lead us for the next year. “Thank you. Oh and welcome to our year, I can’t wait to see how you lead the year.”  He laughs. “I’m not the one making the switch into this year.” He walks away and disappears. This makes no sense. Unless of an emergency, two of The Five are never supposed to be in the same place. How is he in our time? That would break the rules. I’m not sure what’s going on. The Five wrote the laws, why would he risk it? I’m so lost about what’s happening. But I need to find Rev. I grab the back pack and head back to the visiting center.

Poems: Hard work from yesterday

Easy way of life is what they sell us.
Work smarter not harder is what they say.
But we can't we do both?
Kids growing up without a scar now a days.

But is it better?
Never knowing the joys from hard work.
Will they always cry when things don't go their way?

A generation of winners, never knowing how to lose?
I was shown at a young age what it was to save.
Even pancakes as a toddler i worked for.
maybe not in a conventional way.

So now that I am older I hear these kids cry,
Not wanting to work but skate through life.
I don't understand.

Thinking this world owns them.
Excuse me i say, you most currently are mistaken.
Your luck to not be in the fields.
Your luck to be able to be in school.

So please i ply stop being ungrateful.
For if your not careful things can change.
Stop looking to the people on T.V. screens for the answers.

Look back at your families past.
To the grandmas and grandpa who slaved away.
For you to have a better day.

I'm sure never did they dream for such an ungrateful day.

Series Wednesday: Timetopia Page 12

I wake up in the morning and Rev is packing a back pack. “There is a stream not too far from here. I want to go see it. I mean we can’t leave town any way.” She is being very shifty. “Do you want me to come with you?” She looks out the window. “If you want. But I am leaving in 5 minutes.” She hasn’t left my side since the day I met her. I am not sure why she is in such a rush to get there. I grab my shoes and throw some clothes on and follow her.
We hike 5 miles to this stream and she isn’t the Rev I normally see all the time. She stands at this stream silently and very strong.  She starts to kick a tree and screams. I step back, she was frightening me. “Why did you do this!!!?” she throws a rock into the water. “What did I do?” I ask her. She looks at me like she forgot I was there. “Not you.” I look around. This place must mean something to her. “What happen here Rev?” she stands there with tears in her eyes. “This is where Richard asked me to marry him.” I looked around. Wait I thought she had never been to timetopia. “When was this?” I need to understand. “It was on a crazy trip we did. We drove from the Bronx to California. We were sick of driving and Richard decided we needed to be one with the land. So we hiked and here is where we stopped. He got on one knee right here by this tree and asked me to spend every day of the rest of our lives with him. I got up on this rock looked him in the eye and said yes, unless he went bald then I’m out. We both laughed and he said he would get hair plugs if that ever happened.”  California? Hair plugs? I’m not sure what a lot of these things are but I can see it is hurting Rev. I have never seen her so open hearted. I hug her, she pushes me away. “I’m not much of a hugger. But I get the sentiment.” She just stands there.  “Rev how did you drive through Timetopia before?” she stops being sad instantly. “Right, Timetopia.” She is standing very still now. I am waiting for a real answer. She knows more then what she is telling me. Is this the place she visited or not? How could she have drove to California a place I have never heard of in Timetopia? “Rev answer me.” She looks at me. “Ava I can’t.”  Now I am getting mad. “Why not? How did you drive to through Timetopia before?”  Her face get serious. “Ava you don’t understand. And I can’t be the one to tell you, I want to trust me.  But your grandmother is waiting for you with all the answer. I promise when we get to where we are supposed to. Most of your questions will be answered even some you haven’t even thought of yet.” I am done with this! I want answers why do I have to wait to get to my grandma’s house. None of this makes any sense. “No Rev. I have traveled across Timetopia I need some answers. I deserve at least some.”  She nods yes, but paces back and forth. “This isn’t my place. But I have never been any good at following orders. I wouldn’t be here if I was. If you need some of what I know to go on, maybe it is the right thing.”  I nod yes. She takes a deep breath. “Okay well you see…..” Rev disappears right in front of me.  Her back pack drops to the floor. I don’t understand.. How could this happen? I was looking right at her. This isn’t right. I feel like I can’t breathe. I look around and there is no one around me. “REV!” I scream. Did she get erased? If she did would it happen like this?

I start to run back to the main road no signs of her. How could she just be gone? Wait this is just like my mom. She was there one second and gone the next. Okay stop think. I need a plan. What if Rev never comes back? I need to still make it to my grandma’s.  I hope she comes back. If I was going to make it to my grandma’s I need the map. I stop running and remember the map is in Rev back pack. So I turn around. I run back to the back pack. Why would I leave that behind? What was I thinking? So I run back the mile I just ran. I make it back to her back pack. Still no sign of Rev. I still see her foot prints of where she was standing and it’s like she was pulled right from the spot. I don’t understand. “Hello Ava.” I hear a man’s voice from behind me. I turn around slowly. I can’t believe who is standing in front of me.
